22 Jan 2018 : Proposed new national tariff

Find here an article about a new national tariff applicable from April 2018. The following points have to be mentioned:

- No specific (very low) tariff for consumption below 50 kWh

- The monthly 150 KES fee might be removed (not very explicit, since the article reads: “will not be charged separately but will be factored in the uniform tariff”).

10th Jan 2018: Technical Training on Solar Hybrid Mini-grids

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nairobi, Kenya, together with its partners facilitates an In-Depth Technical Training on Solar Hybrid Mini-grids at Strathmore Business School Nairobi (Ole Sangale Rd., off Mbagathi Way) on January 24th and 25th, 2018. The two day Training focuses on specifically applicable designs, components, and technologies for the erection of Solar Hybrid Mini-grids in rural/ remote areas of Kenya.
